One trend I am totally in love with, from the last few years, is the improvement in starter sets for miniature skirmish games. You used to get nearly enough to actually play the game but, now, you get enough and more. For example, the new Fallout miniatures game two-player set from Modiphius.
The Fallout two-player starter set genuinely contains everything you need to get started: two sets of plastic miniatures, and all the rules, dice, and tokens you need to get playing straight away. Even better, it also comes with slot-together terrain! For years, terrain was seen as an additional purchase thing so any inclusion of something to dress your table with is a big win for me.
You can also check out the Fallout: Factions – Welcome to Nuka-World quickstart guide right now! It is available to download from here giving you a glimpse at the new gameplay behind this new skirmish game. The streamlined rules (I also love streamlined miniatures game rules) still offer plenty of tactical possibilities with an improved ease of play. Designed to be suitable for leagues, tournaments, and casual pick-up games alike, Fallout: Factions promises to have something for everyone regardless of their experience
Pre-orders for the Fallout: Factions – Battle for Nuka-World two-player starter set are now live and can be registered on www.falloutfactions.com. Additionally, the Fallout: Factions – Welcome to Nuka-World quickstart guide is available for free download.
